Born in October 1950 and trained at C. A. Pitts & Co. and R. A. Dilworth in the United Kingdom, he managed statutory audits and carried out consultancy engagements of multinational companies over many years as Managing Partner, S. S. Afemikhe & Co. (Chartered Accountants) and Managing Director, S. S. Afemikhe Consulting Limited now SSAC Advisory and Professionals, and Mesaf Management Services Limited. Many companies continue to rely on his expertise in finance, accounting, and operational management to ensure that their businesses are equipped with the necessary tools for aggressive operations and sustainable profitability and growth.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) the United Kingdom, he is a consultant to the World Bank Nigeria Country Office in the area of post procurement reviews and public procurement analysis, review, and monitoring. Worked in various capacities in many accounting firms in Nigeria and overseas, including the firm of D O Dafinone & Co, where he rose from the position of Assistant Manager to Partner within four years before going into private practice. He has built an immense niche in the Oil and Gas industry, having been involved in many engagements in the industry both upstream and downstream sectors for over three decades. Now an authority in the concept of Value for Money (VFM), he is an author of five books:
